Built in 1970 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2008, the modern Hotel Calypso has a total of 296 guest rooms, including 285 standard twin rooms and a further 11 singles, which are built over 11 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and cosmetic mirror, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental, refrigerator, and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Calypso also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

Guests staying at the Hotel Calypso are invited to join the Servigroup Dance Academy based at the nearby Hotel Orange, offering free dance tuition by professional dancers in a variety of dance styles including International Ballroom, Latin, Salsa and Argentinean Tango.

In recognition of the Servigroup high standards of customer care and management systems, the Hotel Calypso has been awarded the internationally renowned certification of ISO 9001:2000 Certificate for Quality, as well as the Qualitur Distinction, awarded by the Valencian Agency of Tourism, which is only granted to establishments which meet the highest standards of continuous improvement in all services.
