Built in 1972 and extensively refurbished in the winter of 1999, the modern Hotel Carlos I has a total of 197 guest rooms, including 171 standard twin rooms and a further 26 singles, which are built over 7 floors and set amidst Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and cosmetic mirror, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Guests staying at the Hotel Carlos I also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Fitness Centre, which features a fully equipped cardiovascular gymnasium with sauna and Jacuzzi, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and massage treatments.
