Built in 1974 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2006, the modern Hotel Gala Placidia has a total of 136 twin guest rooms, which are built over 8 floors, and set amidst a Mediterranean style garden and sun terrace overlooking a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and magnifying mirror, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes children's playground and mini club, and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel Gala Placidia also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the Health and Wellness Centre at the nearby Hotel Dynastic, which features a smaller indoor heated swimming pool with sauna, Jacuzzi, and cardiovascular gymnasium, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and massage treatments.

The Hotel Gala Placidia also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
