Built in 1970 and extensively refurbished in the winter of 2002, the modern Hotel Joya has a total of 133 twin guest rooms, which are built over 7 floors and set amidst Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and magnifying mirror, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, and a comfortable lounge bar.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, as well as both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Joya also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
