Built in 1971 and extensively refurbished in the winter of 2005, the modern Hotel Rio Park has a total of 456 guest rooms, including 408 standard twin rooms, 48 singles and a further 9 family rooms, which are built over 12 floors, and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces overlooking a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and cosmetic mirror, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as public internet terminals with high speed WiFi access available in selected areas, a games room, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section and lap lane, and spacious sun terraces which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground, and both pool and table tennis tables.
