The hotel is approximately 65km east of the Alicante international airport, and a short walk from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops. Built in 1998, the modern Hotel Tropic has a total of 98 twin guest rooms, which are built over 7 floors and set amidst Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area. All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and cosmetic mirror, along a satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week. Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars. For business guests, the Hotel Tropic also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, which is fully equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids including both overhead and slide projectors. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool and Jacuzzi for adults, with integrated children's pool, and spacious sun terraces which are furnished with loungers, parasols and hammocks. Guests staying at the Hotel Tropic also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Fitness Centre, which features a cardiovascular gymnasium with sauna, hairdressers, beauty salon and sun beds, as well as offering a variety of other massage treatments. The Hotel Tropic also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
